Uber Eats Has A Cool Feature If You Use Optum In Healthcare
Uber and Optum are simplifying how consumers from select health plans pay for eligible expenses within the Uber app.
Many individuals have supplemental health benefits they might not utilize. Now, you can directly add health plan benefit cards, such as health spending account (HSA) and flexible spending (FSA) cards, to the Uber app as a payment option. This payment method can cover costs like health-related rides (e.g., non-emergency doctor visits), over-the-counter products, and nutritious food.
This innovative payment method combines Optum's robust health payment platform with Uber's nationwide transportation and vendor network, covering grocery and retail outlets. It will be available for certain Medicare Advantage plans in 2024.
