Have You Heard Of CareCloud?

On August 22, 2025, CareCloud completed its acquisition of Medsphere Systems Corporation, a healthcare IT company with more than two decades of operations and over 600 clients across the U.S. CareCloud now holds Medsphere’s portfolio of hospital-focused systems, which includes:

• CareVue (inpatient EHR)

• RCM Cloud

• Wellsoft (emergency department information system)

• HealthLine (supply chain management)

• ChartLogic (ambulatory EHR)

• Managed IT services

Before the acquisition, CareCloud primarily served outpatient and ambulatory practices. Its client base included dermatology, urology, and rheumatology groups, using its EHR, practice management, revenue cycle, and documentation tools.

With the addition of Medsphere, CareCloud extends its footprint into hospitals and health systems. This shifts the company from focusing mainly on outpatient organizations to operating across ambulatory and inpatient settings.

An open question remains: How will current Medsphere customers respond? Will they stay with CareCloud under the new structure or consider alternative vendors?
